Spring is finally here! Yes my garden has awakened, buds and bulbs are alive once again, birds and bees are busy building their nests. The air is clean and sweet with the wonderful scent of Lilac, trees are swaying their new leaves in the breeze. Time to clean, prune, plant annuals and mulch. So much to do but so rewarding.

I planted these anemones late last summer, I wasn't sure if they were going to bloom this year, I'm so excited they did!

Creeping Phlox, Azaleas and Hostas

Tulips and Wisteria

The queen of the Spring garden for me is the Peony. So delicate, so beautiful, but unfortunately so short lived. Light pink and white are my favorites. Lots of buds this year, already covered with ants, should be blooming soon, can't wait to enjoy them inside.

My little chickadee.
