Last Spring we got rid of one of the two Wisteria plants we have by our deck on the pergola. We really wanted to get rid of both because of their high maintenance. Well, I am so glad we only got rid of one, because this was the first year ever, that I got these amazing, beautiful and fragrant blossoms.
Boscobel House and Gardens, set on 45 acres in the town of Garrison, NY overlooking the magestic Hudson River, is a wonderful place to spend the day. I did so recently when the Cherry and the Dogwood trees were in full bloom. It was a beautiful Spring day, with a chill in the air, a little overcast but clear enough to get a few great shots of the amazing views of the Hudson Highlands.

Rose Garden, too early for their spectacular display, only a few tulips blooming in between the rose bushes at the time.

After a tour of the mansion, we went for lunch in the near by town of Cold Spring at Brasserie Le Bouchon, wonderful little bistro.
